What's wrong with being a "core gamer"? I've been one all my life!

"That's handy!"

..."handy"...

... OMG I just got that. Outstanding!

You can use the arm to make abusive gestures at them.

Never played Left Behind, heard it's brilliant.

Yeah, there are deals and there are Deals. This one has a capital D.

That's a great idea. Spending extra money and wearing a headset is actually a big ask in this day and age, and you can only really understand the benefits of VR if you try it for yourself. Had a go at some conventions but most people don't attend those sort of things - it's on the retailers to turn it into a thriving mass media.

It's a good question actually. Kinda feel like VR could well become a dedicated PC niche.

Erm, well there are now loads of negative reviews out there. Push Square 4/10, Koalition 41%, Gamespew 4.5/10... sorry, but you might just have low standards. How long has it been since you played a classic shooter? Compared to RefleX, Kamui, Ikaruga, Gradius, R-Type, Raystorm, anything you can mention, it's shockingly poor.

Gawd I hope so. Used to love this series.

Then again, maybe I'm too old for it now?

Yeah, a console version could work with some retooling - there's even a reticle aiming mode! Might work on your lappy.

Issue 11 looks fantastic - with the new player experience hopefully The Secret World will get a new lease of life. Deserves a huge following, dared to do MMOs differently.

Thank you master may I have another?

This or Vive?

Gonna be a tough one, but glad to see the pioneer will be releasing next year. VR owes it a lot even if it's not the machine that ends up enduring (not saying that it won't, just saying that there will need to be competition to create an industry).

Yeah, the reveal came out of nowhere. Always nice to get a pleasant surprise every now and again.

Nice, love old-school shooters and this one looks absolutely insane.

Well who's chiselling who know, ridiculous season pass? Go on then.

It's actually on the list!

Might embolden some of the smaller retailers.

I feel like this is one of those times where just ignoring the whole thing would have been the best option. Developer has history of depression and ADHD, along with money trouble. A pretty vulnerable individual TBH and I feel kinda sorry for their (admittedly embarrassing) behaviour being broadcasted so publicly. Should be getting help, not hits, and especially not headlines from games sites.

Notch, for his part, did nothing more sinister than politely join a discussion that ...

For sure, even though some will argue that publishers aren't getting paid enough and that DLC/MTs are the only option. Seriously, I've seen people defending it!

On topic, tho, looking forward to H5. Theorising about Halo storylines has been one of my fave things since CE (yes I need to get out more).

Yeah I'm holding out for that or the current-gen Skullgirls. Will pick this up at some point but don't play local multiplayer like I used to.

Glad to hear it's not a microtransaction hell tho!

Dying Light's worth a punt on PS4 too. Would recommend DS2: Scholar even if it's technically a remaster/remix.
